Competitive Positioning and Social Change
Driven by Entrepreneurship

As we begin 2012, the competitive landscape is evolving quickly and dramatically.  Entrepreneurs possess a wealth of power in driving the future of our society through our businesses and the development of our future leaders currently in the United States education system.

The Northern Virginia Black Chamber of Commerce invites you to the next roundtable in the Executive Circle Dinner series, featuring Tony Coombs. Tony Coombs, recognized by Inc. Magazine’s list of top 500 fastest-growing companies, will lead this Executive Circle dialogue exploring capturing opportunities based on federal mandates, contributing to the workforce development of HBCU students and subsequently recruiting those students into our businesses, opportunities in healthcare as it relates to research and STEM, and globalization of our companies.

ABOUT TONY COOMBS
Tony Coombs is President, CEO and Founder of TCAssociates, headquartered in Springfield, VA.  Born to immigrant parents of Jamaican decent, Tony learned at an early age that America was a place of endless opportunity.   As a child, he witnessed his parents’ repeated success in a variety of small businesses, which showed him the rewards of hard work, the strength of family, and the freedom of independence.

Mr. Coombs joined the United States Marine Corps in the late 1970s.  Being a Marine taught him the values of patience and discipline.  After several years of service in combat, Tony spent his remaining years of active duty acquiring telecommunications training and certification.  He then joined the corporate world and began building a successful career with technological giants such as IBM.

In 1998, he struck out on his own, establishing TCAssociates.  Today, TCAssociates is a thriving Information Technology/Health Care Delivery Services Company.  Its rapid growth and success has landed it on Inc. 500’s “Fastest Growing Privately Owned Businesses in America” two years in a row.
